With the addition of the Singapore data center by Tuya, new users and devices registered in the corresponding regions may automatically access this data center. Intelligent devices released before June 27 do not include the Singapore data center.
To ensure these devices can effectively utilize AI capabilities in the relevant regions, developers should decide whether to incorporate the Singapore data center based on their business needs.
The Singapore data center covers the following regions:
Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Hong Kong (China), Macau (China), and Taipei (China).
For users or devices registered in these regions:
If using public apps or OEM apps created after June 3:
- New registered users will default to the Singapore data region;
- Historical users will remain in their original data region.
If using OEM apps created before June 3:
- Data for both new and existing users will remain in the original data center and not be transferred to the Singapore region.
