Google Play has recently issued emails and announcements regarding updates to the target API level requirements. These changes will directly impact your App’s publishing, updating, and discoverability on the platform. Please ensure that the required adaptation is completed before August 31, 2026, to avoid situations where users are unable to download your App or your App publishing/update process is affected.

Apps on Google Play (including Apps that are preparing for launch, Apps undergoing updates, and Apps currently published on the platform)
【Requirements & Recommended Actions】
Tuya OEM Apps and App SDKs have already completed Google API level adaptation in the following templates:
● v7.3.0 and above templates: Support Google API level 36 (compatible with Android 16); ● v6.2.0 and above templates: Support Google API level 35 (compatible with Android 15).
For customized Apps: Please contact your project manager in a timely manner to complete the Google API adaptation. This will help ensure that your App maintains normal publishing status on Google Play.
If you need additional time to update your application, you may apply for an extension until November 1, 2026. The extension request form will be available in the Google Play Console.
