Dear Customer,
Google is migrating and updating its smart home account linking process (this change is not caused by Tuya). All apps that support the Google smart home account linking feature must complete the required updates by September 30, 2026, to ensure the feature continues to work properly.
What Do You Need to Do?
If you have previously purchased Tuya's Google Action account linking service, please check the Tuya template version associated with your app based on your app solution, and follow the instructions below.
- OEM App
If your app uses the OEM solution, please check the Tuya template version associated with your OEM app:
Tuya template version 7.1.0 or above: Your OEM app has already completed the updates required by Google. No further action is needed for this migration.
Tuya template version below 7.1.0: You need to upgrade the Tuya template version associated with your OEM app. After completing the upgrade, please republish the updated app to the app store to ensure the Google Action account linking feature continues to work properly.
- SDK App
If your app uses the SDK solution, please check the Tuya template version associated with your SDK app:
Tuya template version 7.2.0 or above: Your SDK app has already completed the updates required by Google. No further action is needed for this migration.
Tuya template version below 7.2.0: You need to upgrade the Tuya template version associated with your SDK app. After completing the upgrade, please republish the updated app to the app store to ensure the Google Action account linking feature continues to work properly.
